Goodsmiths

There is a new marketplace for handmade items.  It is based out of Des Moines and it shows promise of being great.  A friend of mine who worked for Meredith for 18+ years is on their staff so I get to hear bits and pieces of their plans.  Check it out!  It isn't nearly as big as Etsy but just wait...they are working hard to recruit quality artisans and to create a wonderful option for us to market our treasures.  Here is the link to my shop...barely opened and nothing yet that has not been seen on Etsy, but there will be over the next month (and no, I have not gotten to changing to my Etsy sale prices yet).  I will soon be adding a fabric shop there also.  I'm excited to see where this will go:)

New Designs:)

Wrapping up a marathon design 2 weeks.  Mission:  to make something great with Stephanie Brandenburg's newest fabric lines Edible Garden and Plaster of Paris (7 blenders).  Here are the pics of some of what I've come up with.  I believe all of this and more is going to Fall Market in Houston at the end of the month.   Still have placemats and curtains to photograph but my brain is fried for now and I cannot for the life of me find my cafe clips for the curtains!!

Not Slacking, I Promise!

It's been a busy crazy couple of weeks!  But all good.  I'm working on some designs for Stephanie Brandenburg to take to the AQS show here in Des Moines next week as well as Fall Market.  Of course my natural procrastination style is in play here...I started all this a week ago thereby creating a massive amount of work for myself.  I'd would have been alright if I had not already had 3 T-shirt quilts and 5 quilts waiting to be quilted for customers.  So, I finished one T-shirt quilt and am ready to quilt another all in the midst of creating 4 new designs using the Edible Garden and Plaster of Paris fabrics by Brandenburg.  It has been so much fun but the pressure is on now for the next 4 days!  Wish me luck and great focus:)

Soon you will see the new designs, but for now here is my latest T-shirt quilt:)

Fall Simple Quilts and Sewing Magazine:)

Just found out that another of my creations will be featured in Simple Quilts and Sewing Magazine (new?  not familiar with this one).  When I designed the Garden Artistry quilt I had leftover bits and pieces that begged to be used and this table runner is what I came up with.  I have been wanting to make one for myself as I love the way it turned out.  So simple but Brandenburg's fabrics shine:)

Quilt Magazine Preview

I have received my copies of Quilt Magazine with the quilt I designed for Stephanie Brandenburg:) I have already had 4 calls for kits and am scrambling to find the fabrics as it looks like they are being discontinued! ARGH!! Spent yesterday opening wholesale accounts with everyone I can think of that might still have some. Some of it is on the way and I am hopeful that I will round up the remainder today. Very excited that people are liking it:) Anyway...here are the first couple pages...I need this photographer/set designer in my house!
