We're outa here!

Okay, we're off to North Carolina! All packed, hotels, cars etc all accounted for. Husband staying home with animals which is a big relief. May not get a chance to get on here while we are gone so will catch up when we get home again. Hardest part about traveling is getting out the home door...it's all downhill after that. Meg is very very excited to stay in a hotel tonight and of course to see her best friend tomorrow. Mom is also excited:) Time to shut the computer down and get on the road...bye all! (Greenlee:))

Good Morning bloggers

Woke up achy and blah...don't you hate those days? Fighting it with ibuprofen and coffee and I'm winning! So many quilting ideas running through my head but I have to finish a quilt for a customer and prepare for our trip to NC instead. oh, and clean up the house--that never ending task we all wish we could pay someone else to do.

Just read a quote from a small daily calendar next to my desk. It fits me today: "I travel light. I think the most important thing is to be in a good mood and enjoy life, wherever you are." (Diane von Furstenberg). I think I'll take on that attitude as I tackle the day:)

Okay, so Etsy suggests I blog. Sooooooo.........

It's 6:30am here in Iowa. Still so much snow and we're all so weary of the cold. As my mother always says though..."this too shall pass". I'm wanting to open up all the windows and bring in fresh spring air, sit out on my deck and soak in some sunshine, and watch the kids play outdoors using their 'outside' voices to their hearts content!

Soon. Well, actually for us, friday! We're headed to North Carolina to escape the weather here and visit our bestest friends. Much warmer there and great company. They live on a farm with horses, goats, chickens, and of course dogs and a cat. We won't be lonely. And I cannot wait to hit a local quilt shop! You never know what you will find in a new city. Like I need more fabric, but as they (who is 'they' anyway??!!) say....it's cheaper than therapy! (sometimes:))

Time to refresh my coffee and see what this looks like so far. Are you hooked yet? hehe.
